If I see you type the word "uncorrected" one more time this week I'm literally going to throw up and never want to hit a dyno.

<typical hustler response here>

fuckface. Your car is slow, and your tune is fucked up. Keep reading, and one day you won't be slow and gay. Well, at least you won't be slow. :giggle:

gospeed81 im just busting your chops calm down

gospeed81 04-28-2009 06:07 PM

laughing here too.

We've already been around the block, we can laugh about it now.

Your car is still slow as "Radio" and you are destined to repeat the history chronicled in your sigline.

All before i was 18.
EDIT: and yes i did crash the red one with a fairly stock KA (the black one had the SR at the time)

ON TOPIC:

I certainly agree with your dad. I would have done the same thing. For liability, and for my kid. I was dumb when I was 18. Luckily I never got the 390 in my '65 Thunderturd running right (changed everything but the rotor in the distributor) and ended up trading with some guy for a '65 Impala I6 with a three on the tree. Kept me outta trouble.

Before this I had wrecked:

'83 Celica
'92 240SX
Plymouth POS Sundance (sister's)

Lucky I don't have more than a little bit of neck pain from whiplash.

I didn't really have much in the way of parental-car guidance, but I learned my lesson when I rear ended a car in my 1990 Mazda MPV (shaggin' wagon).

Guess I was lucky I didn't hurt my "project" cars ^^

Oddly enough, my parents never said I couldn't have what I could afford..which was odd considering how insane they are. But, my first car was a FC, which I got into a little fender bender with, but fixed. The nI got my 96 Miata and worked on it..they didn't care. Hell, I s/c'ed the 96 and they had no clue. My dad knows about car stuff but never cared to get into it with me. I saw my partens over a year ago when I bought my 02 and told them what all was done to it...I knew they didn't have clue as to what I was talking about.

Wow.. I just realized I have not seen/talked to my parents in over a year now. Oh well, well deserved.

Just for shits and giggles, I agree with your parents too Paul. I've seen you drive. Though your mechanic skills are far greater than mine and you may not blow 20k cars up... you sure can drive like an asshat sometimes (on horrible St. A roads of all places!).

Now is a much better time for you and I both IMO. First one to get a ticket in St. Augs when you're back owes the other lunch!

Kev

Fun story. My dad went a little nuts when the boxes started to arrive home, he gave me the WTF!! O_o look and bitched that I play to much GT4.

Well I'm glad to see the OP still has no grasp of the English language a year later.

Volleyhead 09-01-2021 06:20 PM

I'm sorry, but that is hilarious.

Volleyhead 09-01-2021 06:24 PM

Wow, I am getting ready to install the hood louvers on my grey Miata and I never thought to paint them orange to match my orange roll bar. That is awesome.

When I was 17 I bought a 1966 GTO 389 tri power. In the course of maybe 18 months I had destroyed 4 differentials, 3 transmissions and finally the motor. I wound up selling the shell for a couple hundred dollars and proceeded to blow shit up on a '68 Impala SS. Worked my young ass off for those cars. Now 47 years later I'm still beating the shit out of my car. It just doesn't hurt as bad when it breaks. Never ran into anything. All my friends with muscle cars eventually wrecked them. Some didn't make it. I can see your father's point, but you're gonna do what you're gonna do. One year isn't going to change anything.

You do realize at this point the OP is now 30, right?
