Default No spark on cylinders 2 and 3

So.... Stupid me caught my engine on fire yesterday messing with injectors and melted a lot of wiring insulation. Now I'm not getting spark on 2 and 3 which is one coilpack. The coilpack gets really hot when it's cranking so I believe it may have a short somewhere. I traced the wires and they all look ok if a little melted. Any ideas what could cause the hot coil and no spark? Could it be a bad ground?

Get a wiring diagram and check all the ground points in the engine bay. TB etc. but also your coil packs could just be destroyed in general by the heat.

I have replace the coil packs with ones from another vehicle to the exact same symptoms. All grounds appear to be solid. Something weird I noticed was that my tach will show exactly half the rpm as my link ecu. This is leading me to believe that there is a signal lost between the ignitor and the ecu or cas. The problem I'm having now is isolating the short as all the cables are bundled together in hard to reach places with much of the insulation and outer tubing melted together.

the dash tach gets rpms from the coils.

you need to check to see if youre getting both 5v triggers from the igniter to the coil pack.
