pretty sure the fluid will run right out of the tranny's tailshaft and turret hole if it's not installed.

It will also run out of the speedo gear hole if the gear isn't installed. I know from experience.:)

heh, transmission bukkake.

Yeah, like I said earlier, they probably drain it before shipping to avoid the mess and extra weight.

my car has been raced all its life. Still has 1-5th gears at 130xxx

XxGoKoUxX 03-09-2008 10:13 AM

u guys gotta give him some slack..... if i'm correct.... aren't the JDM Na6 and Na8's more powerful than our B series motors by a little? that's probably what gave him the idea to get the "JDM" transmission....

kid doesn't know much, he's trying to learn, and i'm sure since he just got ripped off via ebay..... he's learned his lesson enough to not earn a bashinh from us mt.net people

paul 03-09-2008 10:22 AM

i have 300k+ miles on my trans and all 5 gears plus reverse work fine with over 300hp to the crank.

Trent 03-09-2008 02:48 PM

My transmission has 700,000 miles on it and actually grew a 7th gear! And it plays Lynyrd Skynrd when i put it into reverse!

driftbandito 03-09-2008 03:13 PM

I power shift mine, shift without the clutch, throw it in reverse while driving at highway speeds, take off in fifth, drive it with no tranny fluid, grind gears all day and i got all 5 gears and reverse. Yeah Daddy

I am not familiar with this... can i install synchro? its going to cost $100 to ship it back so this would cost me $400 and i would get $195 back. AHHHHH!! :bang::bang:HELP ME:bang::bang:

Is it matched to a JDM engine?

You need both for them to work properly.

rappadan 03-09-2008 09:37 PM

damn, this is the retarted post that i've read on here in a while. He should have posted this on M.net They would have def answered all his questions...

bryantaylor 03-09-2008 09:59 PM

And if your current tranny has lost Reverse and 3rd in just 54k, then it looks like it's time for an automatic. The tranny's are one of the more robust parts of the car and routinely go 300k+ miles with no problems.

listen, if you want to trash on me READ THE EFFING THREAD CORRECTLY!!! i NEVER said it didnt go into gear. i said it felt a little rough. first of all i have had this care for about 5k miles, MY FATHER AND I PURCHASED IT FROM MY UNCLE AND THERE HAS BEEN 3 DRIVERS EACH TRACK EVENT... NOT MY DRIVING!!!! AND IF YOU LOOK AROUND YOU WILL FIND THAT RACECAR MIATAS GO THROUGH 1.6L TRANSMISSIONS EVERY 50K MILES (THATS OFF OF A SPEC SITE PS ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CHECK UP ON IT). i will eff anyone up in a straight line drag in the same car, dont talk about shifting, go ahead and take an automagic and line up next to me, see who gets down the track first.:fawk:

anything JDM means you are a flaming homo who likes it up the ass.
there is no difference between japanese and american engines and transmissions and rear ends...dont ever buy anything that says JDM anywhere in the add
sounds like the sellers is an absolute idiot, so dont listen to anything he says and just hope that you didnt buy a blown tranny
now, install tranny in your car and put fresh fluid in it, i think it takes just shy of two full quarts, but i dont remember to be exact...also take this opportunity to change the fluid in your "shifter" and in your rear end
again, JDM=your taking it in the ass
smarten up kid, you have lots of knowledgable members here to guide you, dont take that for granted and use your resources, ignorance is not a bad thing, stupidity is!
good luck, you need it

thanks for sticking up for me, I wish there were more people like you and paul in here.
I found out how dumb he was today... he sent an email saying that he knows absolutely nothing about cars and told me the tranny couldnt be used in a racecar and to send it back for a full refund, hahah.
