Read the page on the design they use

or flee bay for a poorly designed 'rice' one

That's why I said look at the design of the DC3.

You can modify the cheap one (or a coke can) to work the same with a bit of tubing and steelwool.

Or spend 2 bucks on a plastic fuel filter with an internal paper element that will catch the vapors. Toss it when it fills up and replace it.

That works, and is easy to mount. Some use the more expensive route by using a water separator from an air compressor system. They have a petcock to drain the oil.

I read it. Unless it separates the oil and returns it back the the crankcase, it's the same as anything else. The only unique catch can I've seen is this:

I did the same thing Y8s did, never used it, but I used brass instead of plastic. Plastic is lighter, cheaper, and who gives a damn about a what their catch can looks like anyway. That D3 looks excessively complex, why work harder than you have to on something. The plastic scrubbies work fine. Not like you'll ever open it up to see all that work you did anyway.

DIY route all the way baby!!! PCV, though not a good choice for Charged Intake pipes, is awesome for a catch can. Two 2" plugs and about 6" of 2" pipe. Some 3/8th fittings and your good to go. Spray black or any color you want. I didn't stuff mine with SOS but the OUT side is facing upwards and in is coming from the side, heavier particles wouldn't travel up staying the can.

One question I have is on the breather side (not the PCV side).

Which was is considered out, it is ment to suck air in but it also blows oil out.

ouch
The plastic textured spray paint on pvc is great for those who aren't to the high dollar flashy polished metal catch cans.

No disrespect of ball busting intended. Just throwing out another option for a VERY functional can.
