Default Oil Filter Sandwich plate?

After six months of hand to hand combat with my piece of **** and its $7.50/quart, 3 quart a week oil leak... I FOUND IT!

Where my pressure sensor screws into the block, for some reason was leaking. Removed sensor and installed a pipe PLUG, Viola! Leak is gone!

I've been thinking, the sensor is big and theres no room to get a wrench in there, so I pieced together from ANFittings.com or some **** 2 feet of stainless hose, 2 AN/NPT fittings, and 2 AN -4 fittings for the tune of 31$ plus shipping... Then I remembered some places sell the oil filter sandwich plate, but I'm not sure about those...

Has anyone ever used one? Moss motors sells them, and they're not too expensive. It'll allow me to use my freakin oil temp sensor finally, along with a pressure sensor port that I can actually get a wrench on. Intake manifold bracket is long gone, so that won't be a problem.

Anyone?

prosportgauges.com $38.99

miatamania.com $49.95

I got the one from Moss. Works great. Buy it and be done with it.

I use something similar for my oil temp. It's the old Mocal thermostat plate that FM sells. Worthless as a thermostat, but plug the holes with NPT adapters (with plenty of JBWeld, since those holes are tapped BSP) and drill a bunch of holes through the plate to make it a passthru, and it's a good sensor mounting platform.

For the pressure sensor, you may get a slightly different (higher) reading at this location than from the stock location, as this places the sensor before the filter, rather than after it.

i've heard of people having problems with leaks from cheaper sandwich plates, but both of those pictured look to be of good quality (and reasonably priced, too )

www.glowshiftdirect.com sells them for 27 bucks + S/H, looks to be exactly the same as the prosport adapter for $10 less. I run it on my car, decent quality.

I forgot they sold those... Have purchased some stuff from glowshift before, don't recall what it was though. I was happy with it, I do remember. Ordered!!

My cheap fleabay plate leaked..
So I ended up with a Thompson filter relocation unit with a sensor port - much easier...

Hmm, anyone know which thread pitch is the correct one for a miata? I searched and haven't found it yet. Thanks.

It's 20x1.5mm I believe.
EDIT: Looks like Mr. Perez beat me to it. Confirmation is a good thing.
