Oily drip from tranny.
The transmission has what appears to be a weep hole on the bottom side, and when I poked the larger boot on the slave, an oily watery substance dripped out of the weep hole and some dripped from the larger boot. I looked at the info about the slave in the garage on m.net and it says if the smaller boot drips when you poke it that means the o-ring is bad, it did not drip, there does not appear to be any oil in there. So what does this all mean?
FYI, I posted this on m.net first, but as usual I get alot of non-answers. I dont think anyone ever actually reads my posts there, they just assume they know what Im saying, and give a response that has nothing to do with my post.
FYI pt2, 90, 5spd put redline oil in about 10K miles ago. Drip just started AFAIK last night when I got home from work.

There's only one boot on my slave. Do you mean the fork boot?
(the slave boot is finger sized. The fork boot is half fist sized)
..
also this post was hard to read whilst picturing a dominatrix transsexual in boots.

you can probably (maybe) pull the fork boot out without removing the transmission. it may be a bitch (and a bigger bitch to get back in--but not as big of a bitch as removing the tranny) but it will let you see a tiny bit better what that oily wetness could be.
is it oily or is it watery? oil will be slippery between your fingers and not rinse off easily with water. water will not be slippery and will evaporate relatively quickly.

I'd say throw some dye in your transmission first = if the oil dye appears in drips(change the tranny seal)
then put dye in engine oil, check again and change rear main seal or oil pan seal depending on what you find when you rip transmission out.
I tend to do things the hard way, so this might not be best for you.

The dark coloured oil won't mean a thing really... by the time the oil goes inside the dirty tranny, it'll be dark when it comes out...

Could oil from the CAS, or VC make its way into the tranny? My VC has a very very slow leak, it just seems to be moist sometimes, no drips or anything. The CAS is so well hidden that I cant tell if its leaking.

So Im an idiot, I thought my CAS was on the exhaust cam, but it is on the intake cam, and it is an oily mess back there. Going to see if I can locate an o-ring, (m.net says The size of O Ring needed is 1/8” – 1 ½” x 1 3/4”.) locally. and replace it.
