Only in Michigan will you see a girl washing and waxing her miata when there is snow still on the ground!
My driveway and the roads are finally clear in Traverse City, MI (aside from massive potholes)! Took her out yesterday to wash the dust off and went for a ride. I'm dorkishly excited for the nice weather ahead... and the mods this summer.

Still too cold for top-down driving. My soft top doesn't like to flex in 40 degree weather.

Nice looking car ReallyRottenTurbo. Glad you took yours out. I have seen precious few "summer toys" out yet. Last snow we had they salted the roads to death and yesterday you could still see crystals at the intersections. With the current rain the roads will be clean.

I'm familiar with smog, which we still have a bit of from time to time here in southern California, although it doesn't usually settle on the ground.

It looks like you're ready for Baja with your current 4x4 status :P
For serious though, sweet car, jealousness of the Titanium gray MSM.

Don't forget waterford which is about as close as well.
Depends on what you mean by area, and what you mean by track.
I do autocross every other week in the summer. It's not high speed stuff but it's fun and I learn a lot. If you haven't done that I recommend it. You definately have the right car.
Also, Gingerman is in Michigan correct? I live in Illinois and I will be there a couple times this year. (not racing mind you, I am not ready to risk my daily driver).

It has been over 80 degrees consistently for a month and pushing 90 once this week. I went up to Georgia for a trackday last weekend and had to wear my firesuit in the morning to keep warm. It was 80 by midday.
I'm already worrying about increasing my cooling efficiency for when it actually gets hot.
Oh, and welcome!

Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot of tracks in the area.
