I am not the only person to load a spare short box where the passager seat should be. BTW if you drive with the top down with the motor in the passager seat you get some really f**ked up looks

These were taken a year ago. The car is no longer black up front, and a lot of things have been taken out of the engine bay since then. I'll get around to taking updated pictures one of these days.

My car is usually pretty clean on the outside but my engine bay is downright embarassing.

Anyone have tips for getting oily smudges out of the valve cover/IM?

Paint? If you want to keep that look, I say sand or wire wheel it a bit, then cover with aluminum colored paint.

I used paint thinner and scrubbing. It still looked like **** when I painted it. I recommend you cut off the front of the cam covers so you can more easily check the timing and do the timing belt more easily.

meguiars super degreaser (professional line) is the BOMB.

Meguiar's Direct Super Degreaser

And follow that **** up with hyper dressing (also pro line)

Meguiar's Direct Hyper-Dressing

just hose your engine bay down by the instructions and it'll look brand new.
