Default ProEFI

Hey guys, as you know I'm beginning to install my kit; I just came back from my tuner's shop and while there got to talk to a local Supra owner who mentioned the ProEFI EMS which is going to be available for Supras, Z-350s and others next February. Not to stir any controversy but I figured I would post a link because I was really impressed with the capabilities of this new EMS as he described them to me. I know that this is going to be a very expensive EMS but nevertheless I suggest you read some of its features and what is included as part of it. I myself would not consider a Hydra or AEM if this one was available for Miatas someday. Of course, thanks to Chad I don't have that predicament now

3K is not horrible but there is no flat shift or launch controls still the extra drivers etc are nice. If it was fully PNP i could see it selling a few but i doubt we will ever see it like that on our cars.

I hear you Magna but one can dream. I asked him if he saw any possibility for Miatas in the future. He said why not? One of the features he explained was the following: you can have a double fuel rail; one with, let's say 550cc injectors and the other one with 1200cc injectors for when you want to race your car. BTW, his car develops a little over 800whp and did a 1/4 mile time of 9.3 seconds at a local event 2 weeks ago.

And Mike, I thought about you the moment he mentioned it to me. Also, check how many wideband sensors you can install. Take into account that he told me it's going to cost him $2600 with everything. He has an AEM in his car right now that he's going to be ditching. He took me to that webpage to show me those features.

looks like it might be pretty useful..... for a 1000hp supra.

for a miata it's a huge waste of money.

If it can deliver this: "Multiple failsafe conditions making it nearly impossible to damage your engine in the case of tuning errors or mechanical malfunctions. I.E. lean, and knock conditions can be used to turn off nitrous, shut down boost etc…."

or this: "O.E.M. manufactured ECU’s – The ECU’s are built by an O.E. manufacturer, so all ecu are 100% tested for vibration, temperature, loading etc… BEFORE you install them into your vehicle. Pro EFI ECU’s are as reliable as the factory units you take out. No more being stranded on the side of the road, or waiting weeks or months to get and issue repaired with the confidence of rolling the dice."

According to what he informed me they have been field testing it for the last 8 months to see what happens to it in the real world. BTW, the O.E. manufacturer is Motorola according to him; therefore I would most certainly be more than willing to pay for it so sorry to disagree with you. I don't have a n 800whp Supra but to me my Miata is worth more than his Toyota. I know, I know that's just me

You always crack me up! hahahaha. I'm going to bed. I found out today (after a full day at the shop) that I'm way too accustomed to my air conditioned office:gay: I have to get off my ***.

I read this as... "at the slightest intake leak, bad sensor reading or vibration I can confuse with knock, I'm going to lock up and go into limp home mode and not tell you why, so you can chase your tail for months trying to track down the issue."
