haha I pulled the motor to do the clutch, but that was because I wanted to take the oil pan off to drill and tap it for the turbo. Pulling the motor is no big deal. . . Altho this is comming from someone who once pulled his motor almost all the way out in the 240sx to replace a leaking coolant hose behind the head.

Well i decided to just drop the tranny. Got it out by myself in 3 hours from start to rolling it out from under the car. Would of been 2 1/2 but the ******* 17mm bolt under the thermostat on the passanger side took me seriously 30 mins to unscrew. I suprised myself. Sleep time!

I can have the motor out of the car in around 2 hours. I dropped a tranny this week and it was 3 hours out, 3 hours in.
I hate dropping trannies. **** re-aligning that **** while benchpressing it into place.

Got that bitch back in. Replaced the rear main seal. Took me about 4 hours. Just a few bolts in there right now i need sleep. Gotta work early. Tomorrow ill finish the trans and either start on the roll bar or finishing up my WI install. Me and my girl wrestled around with the tranny for 2 hours before realizing the clutch lines were preventing mating Finally i just started screwing bolts in and asked her to turn the crank at the same time. Sure enough the tail end of the tranny was turning

Another good tip to tranny mating is to get it up there, support it, then install the shifter and put it in 5th gear. Spin the driveshaft a little bit if you encounter a LOT of resistance, to try and mesh up the splines.

Edit: I should have been more clear where that came from. It does sound like BS.
