Definitely interested. I am swapping to a 6-speed next month, and even if I enjoy the 4.1 rear end at 220whp, I doubt I will at 320.

It would be just a little more than last time (stupid dollar )
$330 + freight
It takes 3 months to get them in from Japan

For the record, I had no idea he was going to post this around...

I need the 6 speed / 3.636 speedo unit... was this going to be part of the deal or just the gears?

They come from Japan. It takes 3 months. I don't want any misconceptions. I've already got 20 (prepaid--so don't ask) on order due soon.

Electronic speedo drive is $70 with purchase of 3.63. Mechanical is half that.
We're going to be getting the 19 tooth drive because I figure folks running this gear set have larger than stock tires

/schill--this really isn't the place

Ben,

I'm sorry I didn't know I wasn't supposed to make a post about it. I have already spread the word on numerous forums and have 3 people ready to go on this!
If you would have told me on the phone not to make a public post about this I wouldn't have but when you told me to find 3-5 people to go on this, I jumped right on it. My locost build is moving much faster than I anticipated and with 350 whp and only weighing around 1450 lbs I need the lowest gears I can get to have any hope of getting traction. Check it out here:

http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2664

PLUS I just LOVE long gear'd cars. I have lowered the final drive in all the cars I have owned, and it really does make them quite pleasant to drive around town and on the highway. Instead of Shift-Shift-Shift I can just glide around in 2nd gear all day. Then on the highway, lug along in 5th. ITS GREAT! Plus I get better traction in the rain and snowy weather. It is THE FIRST MOD I do to my cars since I did it the first time.

Again Ben. I really am sorry. Do you want me to close down all my threads on the other forums and end this?

Let me know, and I'll close all the threads.

I am sure so long as they have $ and they understand what Ben is saying on waiting forever for parts overland from japan he wouldn't be mad otherwise this thread would have been deleted by now. Just my geus here though i could be wrong.

Edited only for length

Naw, it's not that I'm upset/angry/unwilling/etc. It's that I'm a moderator here, and Mazmart is not a sponsor, so I don't schill here. That's all.

I am getting together a group buy, which is what I thought forums were for which is to get people together. I didn't know you were selling anything Ben so get out of my group buy thread.

Guys,

I need to get some solid commitments out of some of you. Would you please send me an email at juniorrc2003@hotmail.com if you want to get in on this. Its limited time, and one of the best things you can do for your car. TRUST ME your going to love it! For turbo guys its a MUST HAVE.

I totally agree with JR, this is a must have, unless your motor needs rebuilding and you car is not running, and your DIY turbo build is only half way through, but once you are tehre, this is a must have and i will only hope another GB will be available at the time that i can actually afford it

good luck to those who are in

Get 4-5 people who are READY to put money down and I'll make it happen.

As of yet, everyone who said they wanted in shut up when it was time to put up.

What would the pricing be?

If reasonable, count me in.

If it is $330 for the gears and $70 for the electric speedometer drive (for a 99) as discussed above then count me in.

I've wanted taller gearing for my Miata since the first time I drove it on the highway. Now with the turbo I want it even more. Plus, with gas at $3.60 a gallon, if increases my highway mileage by 3 mpg, it will pay for itself in less than two years.
