Well, I have changed exhausts more than my underwear over the past two years.
Running header to high-flow cat with non-resonated midpipe and roadster sport (it was ok sounding, but under load had that tinny rasp) Thank god the muffler finally blew out after only a year of use.
Fixed muffler with Borla unit, still non-res midpipe.....sounded better; but under load it would rasp out in higher rpms.
Finally said eff it!
Cut mid pipe - welded in 18" resonator - kept bolted flange from original setup and turned the Borla unit transverse to mimic a center dump.
Sounds awesome, growls at all RPMS. Have had some say it sounds similar to an STI. He He.
The best part is, the decibel level does not get louder as rpms rise. From 3K on up, it is the same loudness. Doesn't matter if you are hard on throttle or not either.
