So I took the engine up to the machine shop after all that ^^^, and they found that the pressure relief valve had seized open. Actually, there were slivers of metal holding it open. They also found some in the main bearings as well, but fortunately no where else in the engine. They wanted to say that it was the billet gears that caused it, but I'm not so sure. In any case, a new OEM pump is in with OEM gears, new main and rod bearings, and as of last night, the engine is in the car and I put 70 miles on it! Running well with no issues so far!

I was going to wax it and get some pictures and videos of everything today, but it's storming like hell. :(

Not the best picture, but it's pouring out. I just finished a quick detail to get the 10 months worth of oxidation and dirt off. It's nice to have it back at my house anyway.

Better than the Link (although the Link is still very capable for it's age), I have a decent knowledge of the Hydra already, a bunch of local tuning support, and there's a few guys around here running it successfully. And because I got a really good deal on it.

So the Hydra has been in and is running the car very well with little issues, other than the on-board wideband not agreeing with the AEM during cruise. Been lazy and not ordered my MBC yet, but all in due time. 10 psi is a ton of fun on this build as it is!

Got a rail today (finally) and installed this:




World of difference all the way around. Now my thighs don't get stuck on the underside of the steering wheel, it's sits a million times more comfortably, all the way around I'm very pleased. Have to find a harness now. OEM seatbelt is a bitch to use. lol
