Default RX7 TURBO 2, 550 cc Injectors (high) and stock computer

Like to know if you can run the 550cc Injectors High (from a turbo 2 RX7)with the stock 1993 Miata Computer, or I need a stand alone computer? Currently, I am using a 84-86 RX7 mass Air meter with the 320cc Supra Injectors an additional 5 injector in the intake, that work with a presure switch. Also the car already have some kind of instrument that retard the ingnition while getting boost. I am running 6 psi right now, and the car run exellent. I just put a new ball bearing turbo and I would like to run 12 psi. Let me know if I can use the 550cc injectors with stock computer. thanks

Highly doubt it. I tried running 460cc on my '92 stock computer with a 255LPH fuel pump and it would run for about a minute before loading up with fuel, fouling the plugs and dying out. 315cc was the biggest I could run without problems.

Even if you managed to somehow get it started, your fueling would be inconsistent throughout the rpm range. Your better off going with a programmable ECU if your going to run the 550s.

If you could do something like that, you wouldn't have a large chunk of this board dedicated to aftermarket ECU's.

Anyway, I will keep the injectors until I get a new ECU. Thanks
