ordered. This thread came at the perfect time.

I have a S2K antenna on both of my cars. The threads are not long enough for it to just screw right in, but I made a simple adapter for it. No noticable loss in reception.
|
I'm probably going to remove it and then run an antenna between the Frankenstein bolts in front of the trunk lid..

Well I'll take that endorsement.
At less than a third the price? Looks like I'm getting a new antenna. |
anybody know how to wire the s2000 antenna? It has one wire with it, versus the 3 for the stock antenna. I would assume the black and black/white were for power, however, digging a bit further, and a blown fuse later, it would seem that's not the case. The multicolored wire blew a fuse.

I used to have a s2k antenna on my 90... bought the module and everything... wiring was just a matter of wiring my old power antenna junk to it and radio reception was about the same.
On my car now...I bought a short antenna off eghey for 10 bucks and screwed it in...works the same. Kinda like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/I-Bla...Q5fAccessories |
You might be able to find a universal shorty at Autozone.
