I had some sparco milanos in my vw...they aren't as comfy as the stock jetta recaro leathers, but more comfy than the stock miata seats.

the miata is my DD. the biggest reason I am switching them is becase the frame on the drivers seat is bent, and my back is starting to bend with it.

I started putting them in ast night and took a bunch of pics. I didnt get them in because I had to go to bed, I will have them in tonight though.

the install will be easy, I spent about 10 bucks on stuff from lowes.

ok they are in!
they werent that hard to put in... as you can see it took two peices of flat metal per seat.... I broke a cobalt drill bit in three places and almost killed my dad in the process, but I think they turned out pretty good...

ya I know my garage is dirty.... and I know my car is still dirty....

here are the pics...

How would a larger buy fit into these seats? Are they a pretty slim fit?

I mounted them on the OEM sliders though, you can bolt them to the floor, which would probably give you 3 inches or more. I'm 5' 11" and my head doesnt clear the back of the seat there is probably half an inch above it

For $80.14 shipped to my door, I could not resist. As braineack stated, double check the shipping charges b/c I ordered them separately and they cost $80.14 each x 2 = $160.28, BUT if I ordered them together, it would have been over $200 with shipping.

Anyway, not much left in terms of selection so I chose the yellow seats as the reds would make my car look too christmas-like. On a side note, my seats have Cobra tags/badging/imprints all over. They seem to be about the same in quality as the Sparco Sprints, Momo Start, and Corbeau Clubmans that I've seen. We'll see how well the fabric wears/fades. Worst case scenario, I have a couple expensive gaming chairs.

does the fabric feel kinda cheap on yours?
mine feels like a sweater from wal mart...

it feels like it is "friming up" with use though

I am excited to see how they look in your car though!

They should look good with the green, and match your valve cover fairly well. You guys are tempting me every day with these. My problem is that it looks like there isnt room for both a harness and OEM belts.

I bet you could... I am going to buy some cheapo ebay ones to see...
you can hide the belt behind the seat.. I have done this several times and not been able to find it...

I think you could tuck the buckle part out of the way... not sure though...
