Apparently the car was stock when he bought it. All parts he put on it are new except the turbo. He said he had it apart in order to "clock" it and everything looked fine to him. "Minimal shift play"

I doubt the 'stage 1' ebay clutch will last long at >200whp, judging by what others on the forum have reported. Other than that and the Konis, it looks like a decent car.

Exedy may not be the FM1 or ACT, but it's no F1 either.

exedy is in no way lower quality than the others. its a great brand.
problem is, exedy stage1 is still a pretty weak holding clutch on a miata (its torque capacity)

Also wanted to point out that the turbo isn't worth $1200 ish. Brand new they're about a grand, and used in good shape around $800 or less.

IMO $6k would be a really good deal. $7500... That's pushing I IMO. Mlev did make a great point though with the car being worth what you feel it's worth. If it drives well and stuff and you like it, go for it.

Ive seen this car in person... He is located about 20 minutes from me. It is definitely a well sorted car, and in pretty decent shape for a 20 year old car. It sounds pretty decent too. I dont know him personally, but im with everyone else on here, Its probably a 6k car, and that would be an awesome deal on BOTH ends. $7500 is a bit much, not WAY out of range.... but thats more in NB territory.
Talk him down as much as you can, and youll have yourself a great miata

Yup agreed. Spent $1400 on new set of OTS koni sports and 430/300 ground controls with Nb top hats. It road like crap. 8 months later i sold them and bought 600/300 Xidas. Best purchase ever

Yeah I've seen this guy posting this ad on NJ Miata's FB page, Miata Militia and Miata Club... I didn't even bother busting his ***** but that looks like a terrible set-up. I'd stay far away

I would buy it for 3 grand, part it, and start over with the bare shell.

But the bare shell is covered in "Gorilla Grip," whatever that is. I'm sure it's heavy. How hard is it to get that junk off?

All I can say is . . . "EEeeeeeewwwwwww!!!"

I'm guessing its like gorrila grip tape and it would come right off in an acid bath or with a sand blaster.
