Default Shift Light?

I have been looking into shift lights today, after hitting the rev limiter again

I have looked on our favorite supplier's site (Ebay )
and have spotted a few

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ADJUSTABLE-RPM-BL...QQcmdZViewItem

And all time fav Glow Shift.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/PERFORMANCE-ADJUS...QQcmdZViewItem

And the plug into lighter type ???

http://cgi.ebay.ca/PURE-BLUE-LED-SHI...QQcmdZViewItem

As well as Raptor

http://www.raptorperformance.com/

Gizzmo

http://www.modyourcar.com.au/gizzmo-...iftlight-p5323

AutoMeter & MSD are not my favorites

Any suggestions?

Um...what?

Soooo, you hit the rev limiter and now want an annoying light to blink at you? You've done it twice...total. Hitting the rev-limiter won't do a whole lot to the engine, bouncing continuously off the rev limiter might. but a simple blip on the rev limiter isn't detrimental to anything.

Though I look forward to being on MS and potentially running on the spark cut limiter.

yeah, the hell with that. i'd much rather just listen to my engine than have to a) look at the thing and b) explain what that light does. that and it may invite unwanted ricer conversations.

how often do you want to be asked if you drift your car? there is a reason i like sleepers.

if you really want one, do something discreet. Take the lead for the light and run it to a inset led on the top underside of the gauge pod (so it'll look like an auto alarm led) and then add an on/off switch. You'll see it without the jdm ricey poser after taste.

I bought some ricer interior LED's from the auto parts store, trimmed and painted them and put them in my pillar pod and hooked them up to my F/IC. You can hardly tell they're there. They're not really necessary but I was bored one day. I'll try and get a pic.

what if we just want 1 output to be active (for vics control)? I don't understand the dual output sequence. I have a pnp btw.

Something discreet, is what I am looking for, but I will have to get a stand alone unit as the Link does not have an output for a shift light if you use a WBO2 .

It actually logged you out?

Seriously though, I'm not trying to be flip with you, but you clicked on a link and are upset with the forum because of what the link contained? It's the web dude, it happens all the time. What did it take, all of 4 seconds, to log back in?
