Hey yall, I knew this would get some good comments going. I'm a 3rd year apprentice, well Union Electrical Wireman for the IBEW. I drove my 10th Anniversary Miata to the job site and the lead man on the job said my car was a disgrace to the brotherhood and that I should sell it and buy a Ford, Chevrolet, or Dodge. Do you people think that I have disgraced my Union and that I should sell my, "import ratty piece of ****" as were the word's of the lead man?
Well that makes a lot of sense...more than half the parts on the Big Three's cars are made elsewhere...and many are assembled in Mexico.
You could also point out that foreign automakers employ nearly 50% as many Americans as the Big Three do.
It's a global economy...and a free country...

What a ********. So he wants you to buy one of the big 3 for what reason? Don't give 2 ***** what he says, cause what you like to drive is your deal, not his.
I'll do you a great favor for the future of your career... I'll trade you the 10AE for my domestic 1995 Buick Century. Its a great domestic car and they'd then gladly bring you in..... Plus I'd get a nice car out of the deal! Win win situation
Tell that mother ****** to mind his own Biz,If he was a real man he wouldnt need to display it by driving a Phallus on wheels.Besides you live in redneck country ,that kinda stuff is common, tell him you will race for titles. That should do it.

tell him u'll do it with only one condition, to race for slips like reverend gregs said, if he beats u, u'll buy a ford, chevy, or dodge if he don't hes gotta give u his car...see what he sais.
