Simple coolant reroute
Hi guys.. after looking for the most simple way for Reroute, I had done the following please feel free to comment. Not sure, by moving the rear ECU temp sensor from the back to the front will affect anything much? Please chime in about that.
Parts:
- Acura Integra silicon water hose (all bents fits perfectly to the contour around the engine under the intake manifold) $40
- 12 inch of 32mm steel pipe $5
- CNC machined plate and tapped 2 sensor hole. Fan sensor and ECU sensor. $25
- 2 new gasket. $5
- 1x Screw 1.5m to close up front therm. state cover sensor hole. $1
I choose to eliminate heater core, coz there isn't much of winter in Hong Kong.

Sorry huslter... ! since I didn't have any spacer nor keep the heater core. It was just slapping on the T-stat and new gasket.. and just bolt up the front 1.6 front Tstat housing.
But I couldnt stress how well the Integra DC2 TypeR water host fitted. Even with the clutch cylinder in the way, it had just the right bent to make it all fit.

Doop... just missed out one process I need to do! Totally forgot to drill a small hole on the Tstat flange. Hustler looks like I'll have another chance to redeem those photos!
The OEM Tstat already has a tiny little hole... i guess that's not enough to get circulration of water flowing out.

I requested the one that only dumps out the back of the head, which I believe was specified as "race." However, I don't know if I should use the t-stat housing part from the front of the head, keep the one at the back of the head (which makes more sense), but then where do I install the front temp sensor? It will probably make more sense when I get the motor in the car, but then its not as easy to work on.

Yeah. Usually they call back, eventually, if they cannot get to the phone. If they do not, keep calling. I think their call back messages fall through the cracks sometimes.
Huslter, here are those money shoot! You made me disassemble the whole reroute to take photos for ya! haha... .
No... if you see closely.. I over tighten the Tstat cover and broke it!
Lucikly I had another one handy.
I put everything back together, and resulted was mix feelings about the reroute.
- The Main Fan turns on about 3-4 deg. C. later then what it was before. Since the Fan sensor location has little flow of water.
I still need to find the right plug to cap the heater core outlets. So, no road test yet.

Instead of capping that hole in the neck, why not insert a fitting for the heatecore feed there? It could work.

Acutallly I was looking to find a cap/plug to close up the hardline 5/8" under the exhaust manifold that goes back to the mixing manifold. Any suggestion?
What are the threat size off the thermosensors???

Greddy, DONT DO IT!!! lol, I went cold side on mine to avoid As much heat AS POSSIBLE! The plug was an odd size, it was something like 5/8-14 or something, the temp sensor I think... dont take my word for it check first was something of the same nature.
Greddy, I found it much easier to route water line to the COLD side, being said that I still have retained A/C and P/S.

The one on the TOP, the one on the bottom was for a fitting (homedepot) to reduce the size of the 5/8" hose to a 1/4" NPT fitting. The top was for the temp sensor. The grey sensor PS.
