i'm still using the originals, i'll change em if they go bad. In the past i've used magnecors and accels(300-thunder i think). actually thought the accels were nicer, don't know if they make a miata set.

I think general consensus is that stock wires are usually shot at around 30k miles. I think I hear people talk about Magnecor's more than any other brand. That's what I run. http://www.good-win-racing.com/mazda/miata/14-1004.html

If you've got an advance around you can get a set of 8.5MM magstars in red blue or yellow for 45 bucks. made a pretty big difference for me, even from the NGK blues that i had. (use my employee discount if you want to, justsay you're an employee and your number is 304534....won't ask for a name or anything, you just have to sign your name on the receipt)

What sort of difference has it made for you? Is this a boosted or NA application?

my car came with some newish Magnecor wires when I bought it. They've been fine so far and don't seem to have issues when picking up the spark fire at the dyno like a lot of others do.

I had a much smoother running engine, better throttle response, and it felt like a little more power. I put them on about a week before my greddy kit went in.

Don't compare new fancy wires to old shot ones. Of course the new wires performed better; the old ones were shot!

All wires will perform the same until they're shot out. The magnacores should last longer than the ngks, but don't think they'll work better.

I run Magnecors on both of mine, they've not failed me yet.

If you go to the dealer and get wires, they are now NGK blues

The magnecores cost double the ngks but outlast them by at least triple. I think it's a no-brainer. Just don't expect new magnacores to work any better than new ngks.

8.5 Magnecores seem to do the job. Had Taylors before and I didn't care for them, terminal contacts developed corrosion too soon, lifetime warranty was practically worthless.

The Magnecores are definetly the best long-term alternative. May cost a bit more up front, but they last a long, long time.
