Still smoking!!!!! any ideas?
Hey guys,
Heres the story, I blew the rings in my old motor and of course all the oil ran through the exhaust and now after replacing the motor its smoking like a S.O.B!!! could it take that long to burn the oil out of the exhaust? Or am i looking at a more major prob.? I have replaced the 02sensor and my turbo was supposed to have been rebuilt before i put it on(same time i blew my last motor) although there is a little oil seeping through my b.o.v. The car runs great but just smokes real bad.If you have any ideas please let me know....
Thanks again

narrow the problem down before you go spending any money...
after i blew my rings, i installed my spare motor, and its burning a ton of oil, so yeah its still smoking.
your newer motor culd be ok and you turbo could be causing you to smoke
find out whats smoking and go from there

So check your IC plumbing, then check your turbine to see if its oily. Find the oil and you found your problem. If you can't find the source then leakdown test the motor to see if it's the new engine.
