I haven't had much time to get out to it. I've had 3 midterms, my best friend came home from school to visit for the week, plus my car is on the driveway and its been pouring. Tomorrow I have a free day and it is suposed to be done raining. Hopefully I can get this sorted.

Anyone know of a way to can ground the gauges temporarily just to see if I'm having a grounding issue? I find it odd that the alarm worked with the fuse half way in. I'm thinking maybe I grounded it with it only in half way and thats why it stopped working again when I put it in correctly.

Okay I have been ****** with it all day. Somethings up.

I'm begining to think the wiring harness on the new dash might be the culprit. I think I'm going to pull the harness out of this dash and put the old harness on the new dash.

I'm highly suspect of the harness or the shitty alarm. The alarm looks like a bitch and a half to pull though. Who ever installed it spliced into all the wires.

I have checked all fuses, checked the grounds in cabin and in the bay, resat all the cables, and still no luck.

The back of the cluster looks fine and there is no visable sign of failure.

Okay well I put the harness from my old dash in and still nothing. Neither the alarm or the gauges read anything. This is getting really frustrating. I'm taking a beer break before i push this thing off a cliff.

I removed the harness from the dash itself so i can get a good look inside while its running. I'm fed up crawling in the foot well. I see nothing wrong with anything. Everything is plugged in.

My last suspicion is the damned alarm because it is also not working properly. Even when I manually set it off from the controller box it barelly makes a peep. It sounds like its dying.

Should I buy a new gauges cluster? Take it to a shop? Burn it to the ground? Opinions please...

Well it works now. The connection where the white plug goes into the back of the dash wasn't getting connection. Also I had issues with the dumb alarm wiring. I caved and called an auto electrician. Thanks for the help guys!

hahaha we were right all along with the plugs in the back of the cluster. Congrats getting it fixed. Wiring germlens are a bitch.
