Is there a water temp gauge that's not ground senstive and accurate?
I want a dirt cheap, simple gauge that is accurate, uses a single-wire sender, and preferably black. I must be either full-sweep or digital.
VEI is shit and can felch my rectum. |
Oh, and the gauge needs to be as poverty as possible because cars are stupid and I like bicycles now.

whats wrong with the stock one? You can mod the stock gauge so its linear (or pretty damn close).
I am happy with my VDO sensors so far. |
Check the wires from the sensor to the gauge. When I installed my MXT-L a few weeks ago I noticed my wires had been rubbed through and were probably touching my frame. I think that is why mine was reading off. See if that is causing yours to be off.

VDO Vision - in the stock the stock location at the back of the head. You'll need to run an NPT tap through the threads. Not sure how much fun that's going to be with the engine in the car.

Jeffman's VDO gauges are just as crappy and broken as the ones I had in the VW, plus I want full-sweep. I'm probably getting the AEM one from TSE unless anyone has a better idea. |

Or maybe since your car is green...
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1375130590 I just really like the programmable alarms for high water temp. |

Those aren't TERRIBLE gauges, but they're HIGHLY ground sensitive.
I ran dedicated grounds for mine to new spots on the chassis very close to the battery, and when i turn on my headlights, my water temps "magically" jump up 10F. |
