Default Think I found my Torsen...

So I'm in contact with a guy who is parting a '94 5-spd Miata, and is offering the whole rear-end hullabaloo for $400. So, assuming it wasn't a base model, I'd be snapping up a decent deal for a Torsen, yes?

Actually $400 is fantastic price for everything including the torsen. If it is not a torsen, don't back out. All the other parts are worth it without the torsen.

(How come when others edit my posts, there names don't pop up as editor??)

+1 - very good deal for a 1.8 driveline. You can always add an rx7 clutch lsd to it later if it IS an open.

If you buy it, bring it over & I'll give you hand with the install. It'll probably be easier with a lift and a tranny jack.

I appreciate it. It certainly wouldn't be fun with my wimpy little floor jack

you dont need no stinking floor jack to install a rear end! just a friend that can remove/tighten the wings of it while you bench press it into position. ask me how i know........

(and no, I'm not a big guy, only 140lbs)

No tranny jack necessary here, either.

Hey guys, I'd be more than willing to do it in my garage with a floor jack, but if Ben is going to offer use of his lift, I can't reject his kindness.

Just the jealousy talking.

They're just pissed I can do a clutch by lunch.

I probably won't touch the Miata this weekend, as I have to work most of it.

Oddly enough, my name is Ben also.
