Pull your intake tube and check your turbo for functionality. Also, I'm willing to bet your PCV system leaks whether you realize it or not.

i know there's leaks, but i was just eyballing it for something that would cause it to do something this major. i just had checked it, had no shaft play in the foward/backward direction, slight play up/down but it was always that way, i mean maybe .010" or less.
