Yes, go ahead and run a search in this forum and over at M.net. There are a couple eBay intercoolers that're accepted as being a "good size" for the nose of a Miata, both with and without A/C.

The short & wide horizontal coolers with offset I/O that make up most of the bottom-end of the fleaBay market are pretty popular. Mine for instance is about 28" wide overall, about 6" tall, and about 2.5" thick.

Here's an example: http://tinyurl.com/22982h

I don't recommend that particular one since it's only 2" inlet / outlet, but that's the general idea. Here are some relevant threads:

I'd also recommend that you check out Stripes' kit, here:

I bought all my intercoolers through this guy:

These intercoolers are actually cheaper now than when I bought them in bulk.

What size inlet/outlets are best for the Greddy turbo kit? 2.5inch? or 2inch?

There was a long thread that Corky was involved in on M.net not too long ago about the size of charge pipes. I think the conclusion was that 2" was plenty big enough for anything under ~300-350hp.

Corky's probably right. And wither way, you're going to transition somewhere. The compressor outlet is 2", and the TB inlet is 2.5". I used 2" pipe down to the front-left corner, transitioned to 2.25", then to 2.5", and into the I/C. On the outlet side it.s 2.5" right into the throttle body.

For a 2" I/C it'd be the same, only with the transition on the cold side.

Those are neat numbers. I particularly like "300," as it's a nice, round number. What're they for?

Sorry I forgot that you Americans use a different measurement system to us The intercooler I'm looking at is 12x9x2 .... wil that be big enough or will it be too small for a turbo NA6?

I started out with an HKS intercooler 5 years ago that was about 14x6x2 inches and it was plenty for 8psi.
