OK I just got my Link Keyboard and installed it. Drove the car around and all of a sudden the boost went way up to about 12-13. My guess the fuel ran out and started to cut off. Although the power was real nice,I want to just run the car at 8-9 for safety and preserving the motor.

I need help from someone with LINK experience. This is my first time working with this Keypad. Car was running fine before the keypad. Don't know a damm thing of how it works.

Hey Fred, welcome to our obsession.

Do you have a link with the Flyin' Miata chip or one of the original link ECUs with the original manufacture code in it?

Assuming it is the FM link then get your hands on a copy of the link tuning manual, it should provide you with the relevant details. There should be a copy on the FM website.

Note: Have a look at your turbo wastgate actuator. This provides the baseline boost control. A eletronic/manual boost controller can only raise the boost beyond that controlled by the wastegate actuator, not lower.

Assumng you have an electronc boost controller try runnng a lne drectly from the turbo to the wastegate actuator. At least your boost wll be the mnmum that the wastegate actuator opens at. Don't overboost untl everythng else s ready! Be very careful! (BTW can you tell whch letter doesn't work on my laptop?)
