falken 512s are old now and have been replaced by the 912, you'll be buying old stock if that matters to you, might be annoying if you have to replace 1 tire and can't get it anymore

 

Do elaborate? They were a couple months late with my NT-01s, but they also said they would be and they were easy to communicate with during the entire deal. Got four tires that were normally $135 each for $440 shipped.

 

i like discount..the one in my area has great service and their always quick...never had any problems

 

I've used discount tire online/local for about 7 years and always been treated well. Recently, I bought a set of azenis from onlinetires because discount was out of stock and I wanted them quick.

long story short discount fucked up in the following ways during the install:
1) balanced two wheels on the inside lip and two on the outside lip
2) left lubrication goo all over the tires and wheels
3) scratch the crap out of the paint on the wheels
4) on the way from my house to their shop to complain about said problems one of the wheel weights fell off (3 miles)
5) Charged me $90 ******* dollars for this disservice
6) Failed to call me when my **** was done (despite being told specifically to do so)

When I went to discuss this with their manager he got all defensive about how there was no way they could have scratched the paint. No way at all. They didn't do it... blah blah blah. He says all this crap right after I tell him that I'm not looking for compensation only trying to inform them of the issue so they can bring it up with their techs and ask them to be more careful.

He also gives me some **** about how they always leave the lubrication goo on the tires. That's also a lie unless they normally aren't as sloppy with it. Not only have I never had that problem in the past 7 years and 12 sets of tires, but my car was the only one in the parking lot with new tires covered in ****.

I then bring up the balancing issue which he had a reasonable response for. But when I told him one of the weights had fallen off in a 3 mile drive he called me a liar. "I'm going to throw that wheel on the machine, when it balances out we're done here."

To which I responded, "No, you are going to re balance all 4 on the INSIDE ******* LIP... then I'm done with YOU."

I doubt I will ever set foot in another of their stores again. I was called a liar 3-4 times despite have received shitty service.
