Upgraded engine for 2019
This is hot off the presses from our local Club president, who sourced the information from a local dealer. Highlights:
From my back-of-the-napkin calculation, if the torque band is fairly constant (albeit moved up a bit), the power band has increased by at least 1K. Should make for a fun little engine.
- 181 hp from various light-weighting and airflow mods
- Dual-mass flywheel
- Telescopic steering (for those who shop at the Big 'n Tall store)

I may be that they did strengthen it, but I very much doubt they'd crow about it (since that would be a dead giveaway that it was marginal at the outset). The dual-mass flywheel may be a way to effectively increase tranny strength in any case, as it will help dampen torque spikes.
I suspect the transmission isn't going to get much of a upgrade. HP is up 26, but torque is only up 3ft*lbs. With the emphasis on higher revving components, one could assume they've just made the head flow more up top and kept a similar torque curve to stay within the transmissions design limits.
