Heh... it works btw folks. For anyone who didn't follow my build
Logs show about 10deg above ambient on track... I couldn't be happier... other than even a bit more ducting and even closer to ambient.... maybe some.... WI
Hooray for plans 2yrs old... that came to fruition.

Here's one the of the best v-mount setups in a miata I've seen. Very nicely done. Short piping. Second post in the thread has pics of the hood venting as well.

Get to the track first....run what you brung. Then we will go from there. Everything can always be improved upon, but trying to build it all first, especially as fast as technology moves, will net you a car that sits for 2 to 3 years and never sees an apex.

well, not taking care of this crap is going to be a real bitch if I can't even make it through one session.
That is true....but the difference between V-mount as opposed to traditional setup shouldn't keep you from running. I don't think a few (10 degrees) is going to shut you down. Now, as time permits, you can build your dream cooling setup while you are driving the car. I have been building mine for over 2 years, and am just now to the point getting ready for MSPnP with boost, but I have been able to drive it the whole time as well. With these upgrades, I will have to re-engineer some already completed mods. But that is all part of the game. Get out and enjoy it, and if it gets hot quickly, just know that you have the perfect time attack car and go from there.
I've been following your builds and vids.... I especially love the one where your hood blows off. "You know you're a true racer when **** falls off your car, and you only care about how much weight you just lost."

Heh, all my pics have been posted through out the build on this site
.
Here is the album for the lazy.

Hurm... Maybe I'll have to drive down to Autobahn on the 16th and see Hustler in action. I'm somewhat nervous though... afraid of his "sickness" being contagious.
edit: Just realized... outta down that weekend. Ah well.
