I did not have this problem on either of the two cars in my garage that have these mounts.

My competition mount was maybe half a year old. Most of its life was sitting in the garage waiting for the rest of my car to get done.

vteckiller, I think that a large number of Miatas wouldn't even notice it. I wouldn't have either except my exocet engine bay is super tight. Another 1/2" and I wouldn't have noticed either. Just a head up for other with big turbos or otherwise tighter bays.

My turbo car has the compressor housing 0.5" from the frame rail, I'd notice it. Are you sure your install was correct?

Yeah, I'm sure my install is correct. The new mount was bolted in the same spot on the block and went back into the same ( middle ) hole on the sub frame. I'll try again in a few weeks though .. I was planning on putting back in with shims to adjust for the correct clearance anyways.

Make sure the holes and stud are lined up correctly. Compare with old mounts. If its off, contact V8 roadsters.

Update: Installed mine on my street car. Motor is also crooked as hell. Intake side quite noticeably higher than exhaust.

Everything lined up fine, easy install. Motor is just tilted quite a lot.

I spy an exocet in your pics. Not sure if it helps now, but just installed the Blackbird competition drop mounts, and while they do lower the engine a 1/2" the turbo and all hoses clear fine on my exocet. Absolutely love them and the motor also sits perfectly even.

Took some measurements this morning.

Blue car with V8R billet mounts: Motor tilted 3.3 degrees.
Purple car with AWR 70 mounts: Motor tilted 0.1 degrees.

Blue car had no visible tilt when the OEM mounts were installed. The 3.3 degrees current is EXTREMELY noticeable, and has also manifested itself with some extremely tight and drastically different header clearances compared to he purple car. Both cars are BP4W "powered" NB1s with 6spd trans and RB headers.

I sent V8R an email, guess we'll see what happens.

It's been a while since I had to pull a motor but IIRC the subframe "holes" are somewhat slotted? So you can kind of tilt the engine to get it leveled side to side? Maybe I'm wrong.

One is, but that's for insertion only (Ayyyyyyy!). I've loosened everything and jostled it all a half dozen times. The side that needs to come up isn't slotted, and the high side is sitting at the bottom of the slot.

Need all the camberz on your motor for maximum hardpark points.

Ouch!

I have been very happy with all my V8R purchases. Mistakes happen I guess. I am sure it will get resolved.

FWIW I’ve used AWR and BFW mounts without issues. The later drop mount was a nice touch for a dedicated track car.

I wish Tony Montana's engine had been tilted that way. The WG actuator would have fit better beneath the hood and maybe the downpipe would have been usable.

With the head tilted 3* toward the driver's side frame rail?
