Started getting weird noises coming from the water pump area. Ideas?

 

Remove belt, spin / wobble pulley by hand?

 

Sounds a bit like the water pump. Hard to tell from the video. Although, I've seen cars with similar symptoms and it was because they used the wrong length hardware when they installed their WP pulley and the longer bolts were making contact with the pump housing...

Automotive stethoscope is probably the quickest way to figure this one out. Or simply pop the belt off and start the car for 30 seconds or so.

 

Well just got it replaced. Timiing belt was due as well so i got them both done at the same time. When i spin the water pump just fast enough i can hear a little rattle.
