We ordered alot of the same stuff this month. :p
Let me know how the DDM works dash panel works for you.. I was disappointed when I went to install mine, they make the slot for the CD player like 3/4din, not the full DIN size so you cant use the slider bracket thing that you usually use to mount a CD player. The way they want you to mount the deck is pretty dumb.. But hey the gauge holes work so I'm keeping it. |
funny......when i get parts in i spread them all over the floor like that to take pictures too.
|
What does it say on the shock tubes? MONROE?
|
those are bilsteins bitch
|
lol, k i hope it mounts ok my radio has been sitting on nothing since the summer aha. I love spreading shit out, its like Christmas when you get something in the mail lol. And yes those are bilsteins FTW!!!

All you really have to do is adjust required fuel from the base map for the 440's, fuck with cranking pw's, then drive the car and start tuning from the wideband. I'd start with the stock shit first though, to get your feet wet. |
I've been dreading the day you got MS.
Change your req fuel and tune your own cranking PWs and Accel Enrich. Read the manual so we all don't want to kill ourselves answering your questions that are explained everywhere else a million times over by the people that actually designed the megasquirt. |

I'll even provide a few links to make life easier:
http://www.megamanual.com http://www.msefi.com http://www.msextra.com http://www.mspnp.com (it will reroute you, their download section has the manual) The map the loaded the MSPNP with will get you running on those injectors by resetting the req fuel, and cutting back the "cranking settings" PWs so that you're not flooding the motor on you initial start. |
ya i will try to read it all, i have no clue on any of this  but i shall try if i want to get my car running lol

quick question, running my 440s, would i buy running more fuel? Like wasting more fuel and getting the same power or getting more power? Or should i just wait for my turbo and put them in, because i dont want to put them in now and run them and burn more gas...
|
no, if you tune the MS to control them properly you'll see the same MPG to the tank.

alrighty got the injectors today, couple problems, they look shorter. Is that normal? And the connectors...how do i connect these the connector is bigger, or where do i have to splice/shave them to fit in or do i have to buy these...http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?...umber=04-46910

they look fine.
|
my stock plugs dont fit on them, how do i make them fit?
|
Being the new guy here, I can't speak from experience, but I'm going to take a wild-ass guess and say that you need to buy the proper connectors. RC would be a reasonable place to start.
I've got my http://sr20.net/d/65500-1/popcorn_20smiley.gif ready for when you install your MSPSNP. C |

honestly, the reason people get upset when you ask dumbass questions like this is because its obvious you haven't even looked into it. we aren't here to spoon feed you, all of us got to where we are by figuring shit out, and along the way asking questions here. do some real research on things, and if you're still confused, THEN ask a question
|
Yes buy a wideband. You can get an AEM UEGO or a Innovate LC-1 from Wideopentuning in the speedware subforum.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_sensor
Wideband zirconia sensor A variation on the zirconia sensor, called the 'wideband' sensor, was introduced by Robert Bosch in 1994 but is (as of 2006) used in only a few vehicles. It is based on a planar zirconia element, but also incorporates an electrochemical gas pump. An electronic circuit containing a feedback loop controls the gas pump current to keep the output of the electrochemical cell constant, so that the pump current directly indicates the oxygen content of the exhaust gas. This sensor eliminates the lean-rich cycling inherent in narrow-band sensors, allowing the control unit to adjust the fuel delivery and ignition timing of the engine much more rapidly. In the automotive industry this sensor is also called a UEGO (for Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen) sensor. UEGO sensors are also commonly used in aftermarket dyno tuning and high-performance driver air-fuel display equipment. The wideband zirconia sensor is used in stratified fuel injection systems, and can now also be used in diesel engines to satisfy the forthcoming EURO and ULEV emission limits. |
...english please. Lmao just kidding i get it...
|
Dude, you seriously need to do some learnin', and I'm not saying this to be a prick. PLEASE install that MS before you turbocharge the car, and learn your way around it. Without the basic knowledge you need, you WILL blow up your engine. NA is much more forgiving than FI.

I am why do you think i bought all this shit for, lol im not that stupid.
|
if you get a JAW wideband, they take a hella long time to come in the mail, i'm still waiting for mine :td:
