There are several dozen factory OEM cars that used that style flapper-door MAF. Pinpointing the exact car will be tough simply by looking at the bottom of it. But since I'm in a good mood, the standard upgrade to the stock 90-93 AFM is from an late 80's RX7.

If you're just getting started in Miata modifications and what not, it's a good idea to look through the m.net garage and be familiar with what's in there:
http://www.miata.net/garage/
click on the POWER link
then AIRFLOW METER REPLACEMENT

Also, if you google Miata airflow meter, guess where the first link points you?

There's also a very good chance that it's stock. Only looking at the part number will tell you. If you plug the part number into Google, it'll probably answer your question.

i have searched, im not new to miata.net garage section nor other forums, but i cant find one that looks like it. as for looking up the serial number on it, thats a great idea unfortunatly im not in the states currently and i cant check that out. i found couple more 'better' pictures, so perhaps someone might recognize it from these pictures

Surprised AOL still hosts the site after all these years. Please send me AOL cd's, I'm almost out of my minutes for the month b/c of this tedious search.

It's either stock or the RX7.
