Default What do you think of Stance? (Maybe a group buy?)

I work for the website Street Unit, and we are debating on if we should pick up Stance or not. As a feeler would anyone be interested in a small group buy for Stance products? If you wanted to get your friends in on it, it wouldn't even have to be all Miatas.

I don't even know the list prices right now, but I can pretty much promise free shipping to anyone involved. As usual group buy rules, the more people the cheaper for everyone.

Thanks for any replies.

EDIT: Part of the Stance conditions, apparently, is that they do not allow group buys. D'oh.

I'd still like any opinions on them if you have any.

I wouldn't buy something that expensive from a new company with no history or performance or product quality. However, you never know. I'd like to know more about the design of their design in terms of valving, spring rates, and if they are going to bottom out or not.

However, I'm pretty happy with my ground control/revalved bilsteins.

I'll post more info when I get their price and specs later this week. I am not trying to come in a push sales, I just wanted to get an honest answer about where the brand stood and what you guys thought about them. I appreciate this thread not getting locked like how it did on another forum that will remain nameless.

I have Stance, they're coilovers for those who don't know, www.stancesus.com I like them, the new top mounts are finally in and I should be getting them next week or so. Top mounts = extreme slam with no shock travel loss, or just no bottoming out doesn't matter what height you're at. I have 9kg/7kg springs, valving handles them very nice, very smooth over rough roads, and handles very good with no body roll. I really like these coilovers. Comparing to my old coilovers, it's like heaven and hell. btw I'm comparing them to d2 coilovers and tein lowering springs on stock shocks. If you want more info let me know. A lot of people on roadsterdrift.com run these also.

looks like nice stuff but i'm no suspension guru, if the price would come in around where the tein basics can be had for i'd likely go for it

I am not sure how the vendor situation works on this forum and I am not trying to cause trouble. If there's no objections I can post the SU price when they are available, though.

Oh, I know all about .net..

Anyway, I don't want to seem like a parts pusher. Honestly the Miata hovers around 0% of our sale right now, and as the only Miata owner working for the site I wanted to get some HOT MIATA ACTION going on. I just wanted an honest gauge on where Stance stood in everyone's opinion. After my thread was locked on another Miata forum I thought I'd drop the matter untill I found out all the rules on posting such topics.

yeah that place sucks about all the rules and such. This place is much better, no problems with that.

I recommend the Stances, very happy with mine.

Waiting on paper work, but my boss wants me to pony up the $5k investment so I NEED to get a small group-buy setup. If anyone here is interested I'll post the details when I get 'em.

Lets see the price my bilsteins are doing well but a good deal might be nice. Phillip is pretty lenient so long as you are trying to help people he usualy lets you do whatever within reason.

I don't get it. You have to come up with $5K, for what? Sounds a little iffy to me. But good luck.

$5k is probably the minimum order to open an account.

I run into that type of thing with my vendors sometimes. I may want a product, but don't want to put in a $5-20k opening order because I order on a job-by-job basis and keep no backstock. Sometimes the vendor will work with you and lower the opening order.
