Well, if I owned a MSM, I would probably research the reflash and ECU stuff more, but I'm speaking from having ridden in a couple of cars with it. I'll admit I do not know any of the settings/tune used.

The OP needs to decide what he is going to do with the MSM. Is he going to drive it as an MSM or take every 'MSM' thing out of it and make a baller trubo NB? If it is an MSM, he needs the Little Enchilada from FM (or equivalent). Add to that, a MS, some good brake pads and the best shocks he can afford and he will have a very nice street car that can do some light track duty.
If he wants to build a 300+whp beast that is only going to resemble an MSM from the outside, he should sell it and buy a much cheaper and less unique NB to start with. There's a reason the car in my avatar is an NA yet I moderate at mazda-speed.com. You can't always have the best of everything in one package so the MSM was retired from weekly beatings and the track car was built. |

The brakes are fine as they are. May look into better pads but the stock ones feel good. (As you know we have bigger brakes) For a turbo car I can now appreciate the importance of a stand alone fuel management system. So as soon as I sell the 03 I'll but the megasquirt PNP from the guy on here. I don't want 300 hp, I think the car was never built for that level of power and I believe the car would be less reliable and more prone to blowing up. 200-220 would be great. Besides- I already have a 500HP Corvette. So I guess what I am going with is Option A, :) Visiting this site has been great. I n a short period of time I have learned a lot about stuff I never knew before. Thank you guys for all of the help and ideas. |

Thinking mega squirt. But I want to do stuff that is going to make an actual difference in level or consistency of power.
In your case install a wideband and see for your self, then install a MS. |
So it seems to me you want a quick DD? If so, the MSM is the perfect solution for you. Full bolt ons and basic suspension, and a street friendly rollbar will make you happy.

OP, I agree with most others. Ref post #2, and you're there. |

I read through that thread when you sent it to me slmhofy and I have to say I was impressed. I also realized how much work you had to put into that and I am pretty convinced that unless you live somewhere with a visual inspection it just is not worth it. I was so on bored and then I was like holy shit so much work.

Do you still your account over on m-s.com?
I wanted to show you this. How to build your own "bolt on" 16G EDIT - slmhofy, wow you are a better man than me. I just let BNR do all the work. I know there are different 16G's. Mine is a 39 lb/min version (EVOIII). Is that what you are using? Sorry to hear about that piston. I ended up using Supertech pistons and M-tuned rods. Great job BTW. |

The knowledge base on how to make a Miata fast without blowing up is much stronger here and I often link posts to here when people start asking technical questions. I also add the warning to not post anything stupid if you aren't established here. :bowrofl: This group isn't exactly nice to the new guy if he doesn't come with real knowledge behind his questions. |

I was "reprimanded" for simply posting a https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1371009134 smilie (and literally nothing else) in a for-sale thread where someone was asking some stupid high price for something.
That was the final straw for me. But, it's good to see you here Mr. H :D |
Oh yeah, another rule I personally like. No discussion in FS threads not specifically related to the history/condition of the item being listed. It does help keep the threads clean.

I have my account. I just don't visit the site anymore. However, I'm making an exception to read your thread. I remember you asking me about my BNR bolt on EVOIII 16G, which is still running well...

Maybe it was just my thin skin, or simply not wanting to  to the man anymore... |
2x on that. The other day i saw a fs thread. I kept it to my self but the car was shit. MSM with no fuel control set at 10 psi and no wideband... Say hello to fried guts.
