anyone swapping the wiring over is a ******* retard. Didn't you ask me questions about this? You could read my build thread, like I told you to in the PM response, and realize that you only need the long-block. Either run the 1.6 alternator with 1.6 pulleys, or get a 1.8NA alternator and pulley...your choice, both work. I'll sell you new 1.8 engine mount brackets for a few minutes with your girlfriend.

I paid $750 for a 35k-mile 00 motor, 5-speed, and torsen rear end with axles and shaft...I know your experienced taking shaft. Find an idiot in a junkyard who doesn't know what he has.

Heed my advice or fail at life.

Easy tiger. I don't want the wiring stuff, but that's what it comes with. I have read your thread. Thanks for the info about searching junk yard.

Hey, what you do behind the counter is between you and the junkyard man.

To give you a rough idea, a basic engine here in FL, Upick/Upull complete engine is 150.00 with 30 day warranty (credit).

It also depends, some junkyards just pile the engines one after the other without giving an f about it, clueless if it works or not.

Other junkyards will cover the engines, make sure the miles on it and that it was in running condition, those are higher priced.

Back when I used to live in Cali a typical engine would be in the 400 range, but do remember times have changed, people do not buy new cars and tend to fix, rebuild the current ones.

The junkyard nearby used to charge 60 dollars for a complete engine, since the economy went south, prices changed to 150...
