Default What is this grey sludge in my exhaust?

Pulled my midpipe/rear section after having the car run for awhile to find that it was collecting some sort of grey/white sludge. It poured onto the garage floor and looked like thin grey paint.

The car was running (just idling) extremely rich, but this makes me think of oil mixing with water?

The radiator fill still appears green, at least from the top.
The dipstick still pulls amber colored.

Maybe mandrel bending grease (Enthuza)?

Has Hustler been in your garage recently?

Are you running a cat? What's the goo smell like? (no, seriously) Does it stay liquid after it cools? How long has this exhaust been on the car? What material is the exhaust made out of?

Moar rectal seepage:

Brand new exhaust, 15 minutes of idling
Doesn't smell like anything, stays slightly milky, not completely indifferent from semen in feel.

It's a stainless Enthuza mid, stock MSM downpipe, Enthuza XR rear. First pic is looking into the mid from the downpipe flange side. Current pic is seeping from the same spot.

Fuckit, run it till its gone.

Its most likely a combination of manufacturing lube/oil/grease and condensation. You haven't got it nearly hot enough for long enough to burn that junk off yet. Go drive the **** out of it and don't worry about it

Thanks. I've had plenty of aftermarket pipe but none of them had as much gunk left over as this one.

Unfortunately running isn't driving at this point. Amidst tranny pull... Brand new clutch, flywheel, and hydraulics but the fork got loose and is sloppy. Gonna be a long night.

Condensation and carbon.

My car spit a massive glob of black nastyness all over my garage floor when i started it today.

Completely normal, especially for a car that's been sitting + new exhaust. It's mostly water (a byproduct of combustion).

Could just be the packing/machining grease used when manufacturing. Def going to smell, but it will burn off after a little time.
