Default what would cause this?

on the way to work the heater wouldn't blow, and the ABS light was on, and the revs would climb and hold at 2K (if heater turned to on) at stop lights. Ended up turning it off and on again and it and all was normal.

I have a feeling my o2 sensor is failing, and since it's colder out and it's the original sensor the signs are starting to show, but the situation today was odd. Any thoughts?

I dunno man, I have my car running on MS currently but most of the original **** is still running off the ecu. I throw a O2 code while at cruising speeds on the highway because I'm running rich on the file I got from kingofl337. I know my o2 sensor is bad because it has over 150k miles on it. I have never had any of the trouble you are speaking of. Its possible your blower is going bad? When I used to fix pcs all the time and would get one of those nasty dirty ones, sometimes the fans on the mobo would spin and sometimes they wouldnt. It depended on it the electric motor in the fan could get enough initial volts to overcome the added friction of all the gunk in the bearings. The startup voltage on an electric motor is greater than its operating voltage(a real-life analogy of static vs kinetic friction). Its sorta the same premiss with the blower I would assume, and since it can operate by blowing air from the outside I can only assume that over time it would get hella dirty.

Something in the ignition switch or ign 2 circuit made a bad contact. Cycling the switch fixed it.

The electrical switching side of the ignition switch is very easy to remove and clean.

I'm going to chalk it up to a fluke and hope it never happens again, but yeah I heard of cleaning ingnition switches to fix problems like this. Worked on my window switches, so if it happens again I'll try that first.

I had my RPMS climb and my car shoot black smoke from the tail once. It was a thermo switch in the back of the block from where the coolant came out.

When my car is parked and running, I can turn the key back very slowly and it will shut off the heater/blower and the airbag light will come on. The engine will keep running and everything will be normal, just no blower. I dont have abs, so no idea if that would light up to. Maybe the switch was just in a funny position. Sounds really strange, hopefully it doesn't happen again.

It actually sounds like you guys have broken ignition switches. If you guys have heavy keychains, these ignition switches are made really weak. I tore open the old one after I switched them out and looked at the inside. Weak.

My switch is fine. I'm just turning it back enough to disengage the heater/blower contact. Its possible his had some gunk in between the same contacts causing his problems. Good call on the keychains though, some people I know have HUGE ones. I can't stand to have more than the 3 keys and small lanyard.

Sounds like the problem was the switch. Sounds like it may have been a fluke or it may be needing some TLC.

ok, how about this:

Let's say hypothetically, when you shut off your car and open you oil cap you notice a little smoke waffs out of it. You also notice more oil consumption that normal. What would you do?

Have several good tested switches if needed.

What color is the smoke? I'm pretty sure its normal to have a small amount of smoke, after all you are venting out a pretty nasty environment. The increase in oil consumption is obviously not good. Any idea how much more?

i dunno, it just doesn't seem right, it's a bluish smoke, and it smells like burnt oil after long boosted runs.

Drain the oil and let the oil sit in a container for a couple of minutes. Look at it and if you have a small film layer on top, your rings are shot. Do not know unless I could smell it for sure, but even a little bit of gas in the oil causes it to break down a hell of a lot quicker, and we are talking about higher temps. Also, if you are not evacuating the gasses out of the crankcase, they are emmitted through the nearest exit.
