2000 purple nb, 125k miles. Hardtop, 6 speed. "Replaced coil pack, crank sensor, driveshaft?" It's fairly clean, much cleaner than mine.
Doesn't come with bbs wheels Cons: Hail damage Salvage title |
5200.

The 2000 SE is probably my favorite miata color ever. The salvage title (from the hail?) kills the value though. Assuming the rest is in good shape and it comes with the hard top, I would say $4,500 is reasonable. Same exact car with a clean title would be $6,500 with the HT. JMHO.

That is my favorite Miata color. Isn't is "black cherry mica"?

I didn't know the color so I said purple lol
It just bothers me since it's salvaged but idc because racecar! |
I agree with the $4500. I was going to say lower because of the salvage title and highish miles, but it does have a hard top and it doesn't look so bad. The salvage title was from the hail, right? It would be like getting one with no hardtop for $3500 which is a decent deal for a 2000 Special Edition even with a salvage title.

Doesn't come with bbs wheels Cons: Hail damage Salvage title Where all is the hail damage? Is the hardtop screwed or just the hood and trunk? Bonus that it doesn't come with homo stanced +0 wheels. What sort of suspension is under it? If it's decent suspension but needs hood and trunklid, and some PDR on fenders... I think $4500 with hardtop is decent. DECENT. |
Judging by the wheels and ride height, it's not a decent suspension.

Offer $3K due to salvage title.

I'd pay $4500 for it.

I don't think it's low enough to have completely fucked the underbody.
I'm sure it handles like a drunk dog trying to chase his own testicles, but i doubt the underside is fucked. |

I didn't know we could say testicle in a Miata forum. |
It has quite a bit of hail damage on the hood and trunk, the top is fine.
Our current agreement is $3000 but i'm going lower. The previous owner, whose car I currently own, offered it to me for $2500 but I didn't have the cash at the time. He traded straight across for another NA which I also like. I'm trying to spend around $2700 for the car with a salvaged title. It will be my DD and my current NA will be the pig or ill just part it out. I love the color and when it's cleaned up it shines! Damn salvage and hail are my only problems with the car. I'll have more pics soon but want to buy it within the next 2 weeks |
I'll sell the hardtop and buy myself a fastback. Sell the motor and put in my all forged 99 being built as we speak, then I may have $1500 in the car.
What rear end comes in this car? It has the 6 speed already and a miataroadster short shift. But it has race lands coilovers, bleh! That definitely will be changed out. |
Can hail really do enough damage to make a car a total write-off? We don't get hail like that here, but if you say it happens...
|
My understanding is that a paintless dent removal pro can make just about any hail damaged car look brand spanking new again for a very reasonable price. I've seen evidence of this multiple times in pics and IRL.
