I have the "small" NACA ducts from Pegasus for use with 2.5" hose. After holding them up to the car, I see that even the "small" size is going to take up a nice chunk of real estate in the nose of a Miata. I don't really have any qualms about cutting holes for them if need be, but before I do that I'm going to try using some thermo-formable plastic like Kydex to adapt the ducts in the R-package lip to 2.5" hose. Hustler ghetto fabbed up ducts like that using fiberglass and a stub of PVC pipe IIRC. I'm sure a NACA duct would flow more air, but if the R-pack lip ducts will suffice then there's no reason to go hacking up the nose.

After some searching, I found some used NASCAR NACA ducts on ebay. I think it was about $35 shipped for the pair. They're in OK condition, but so is the rest of the car, so they fit right in.

I'm not a fan of NACA ducts for brake ducting.. doesn't seem there's much sense in trying to use a NACA duct to grab air from a stagnation point like the front bumper.
