The main reason why CF hoods dont seem to sell well in the miata world is because the stock one is aluminum, and when you remove the under bracing its extremely light.
He can make hardtops, actually asked me if I wanted one, but Im not a fan of CF on the outside of my cars.

If theres marked for hard tops, i can use my HT as a model for him to make CF one.

We just dropped off GTR 33 shell (time attack project) for him to make the whole shell out of kevlar. including doors, hood, trunk, bumpers, roof....everything.

Wow, entirely too much for a dash. That's such a worthless "upgrade" when there is nearly no weight savings or performance gain. I could buy a sick 2871 with a tial housing from atp for that much.

Instead of a generic hard top, I would rather have one that is more aerodynamically efficient. Did I mention it should fit?

There's definitly a market for cf parts, but there is also definitly a price point that needs to be hit, well that is you want to make money and sell some parts....show us some stuff and I'm sure you'll find what the market is calling for....

Full tilt a hole could just be cut into a reg. hard top, somebody has done that already if my memory is correct. However even with the hard top our cars aren't very aerodynamic. Someone on M.net made a hard top that turned the miata into a hatchback. It had a long sloped rear glass and removed the trunk lid. However it fit like ****, but it looked cool.

The fast back is a cool idea but like you said, it could have been executed better.

The Spoon fastback for the s2000 is an example of how good it can be when its done right

Fitment wont be a problem, every part is hand made, its not mass production. They just made a Lamborghini wing for a customer (lambos are hand made so nothing is perfectly straight on the car as is)

this buddy of yours should make fiberglass fast back tops. Doubt many people would pay for the CF, but FG could be awesome and relatively cheap.

Its a miata coupe, never made it to US, i dont see how that design would work with the trunk, or it would just disable it completely. (talking about red coupe)

The third pic is the Jap. coupe, all others are hard tops. The last picture shows what I would love to have, but with it fitting properly and removable.

Project Newb I thought you were talking about the last pic, didn't see there were many more before it. I should expect nothing but disappointment from you though, considering you started a thread trying to market carbon fiber dashes.
