Maybe I just did something SUPER DUPER right?
What size tire do you run? What size steering wheel?

I bent my NRG wheel the one time I ran without powersteering.

I want to do this but I would need to rig up a new pulley tensioner setup. Or I could just get a GT3071R!

When I first bought the miata 5 years ago I didn't know much and I ripped the PS out and didn't loop any hoses or anything, 5 years later and I still haven't done anything about it and it still working fine.

I have considered putting the power steering back on my car. With 10" wide slicks and a smaller steering wheel (to clear my knees). It would be handy in autox to be able to make small mid corner corrections. I can manage currently, but I think I could have a little more control and precision with it. It's not like the miata ps is over boosted and most people here are making enough power that the ps pump isn't going to make a noticable difference.

Yours was WAY easier then my tank of a car. With all the extra weight being added to the front of the car now which will KILL the f/r balance + the bigger 225/275 tires, it really needed powersteering
