Default Yet another harness/seat/rollbar thread

Ok and yes before anyone asks I did do a bunch of searching before asking this question. Samnavy don't bite my head off for being a .

Question:
Has anyone modified the stock NA seats so that they work correctly with a harness?

I love my stock seats. They are leather and they fit me like no other seat I have sat in. They have the headrest speakers and the sweet M-edition logo. I really don't want to get rid of them. They keep my car looking classy (which is what I want).

My plan is to get the Boss Frog double hoop roll bar with the harness bar. I have seen the G-force H-type harnesses but do not know if they would actually safely solve my problem. I have heard references to people who have modified their stock seats but I have not seen any pictures.

First off, do you actually NEED harnesses (do you track the car) or do you just want them? Because as many others will tell you harnesses on the street are a bad idea. Also by H-type I assume you mean 4-point? If so don't skimp geta 6-point or AT LEAST a 5-point.

This is what I mean by H-type.

Yes I am actually planning on doing a 6 point both for the safety and comfort aspect. I generally don't like getting smacked in the nuts. That's my main reason for not going with the 5 point loin cloth.

If you get smacked in the nuts by the substrap on a 5 point, you're doing it wrong.

Along with that pesky little problem... Anyone doing pre-track inspections sees someone cut holes in the seats for harnesses... in their right mind would toss the loon out...

Alright thanks for the input. I had heard that someone had done it before and I wanted to fish for some pictures. I'll probably stick with stock seats and belts for now. Eventually I'll probably come around to swapping the seats but I'm not in a hurry. Thanks again for the input.
