Default Yet Another LS2 Coil Install

I did this a while back thought I'd get around and post it. The car came with COP's and I thought it would be cool to have the bad *** LS2 on here. I have to say first that at only 10 lbs of boost I don't think I could tell any difference. I was able to increase the spark plug gap from .28 to .48.
I started off with bending a piece of 1" aluminum to off set the coils off the fire wall about 1/2". Using an existing bolt hole from the windshield wiper, all that was left was to drill one hole for the other side.
I put some pics of the wiring but I don't know how much sense it will make. The info is out there, just search.
I contacted Taylor Wire and had a set of wires made. I chose there "409" 10.5mm wires. I wasn't sure how long to make them at the time and left the coil side open. In hind sight I would have measured and have them install the coil side too. Man what a PITA to get the boots over the 10.5mm wires. The wire set was around $80.
Thanks for looking, I hope this helps.
Cheers,
-JB

Nice location for the bracket!
I don't understand why you fuсked with the wiring harness...? I just cut the stock harness plug off and wired the 7 wires (4 signal, 12V, signal ground, ground).

Sorry, that pic was a bit of a mess. I left the COP wiring hooked up also. I was planning on doing a shot showing the COP and the LS2 running side by side to see the spark difference.

Except for in the pic it looks like the plug wires will end up rubbing against the hood. Maybe its just me, but I'd try to lower the bracket some.

I did make final adjustments after that pic and the uppermost wire is about 1/2" below the rubber strip.
