I am pretty sure that is illegal in most any racing league. I think you could use it in time trials and maybe autocross...

Active aero rocks. Illegal as hell in most situations but cool as hell anyway. Needs to come up much flatter for braking situations like the Veyron's does.

4K. Lets see, a whole other miata, a high end turbo kit and supporting mods, a high end suspension + brakes, or a wing?

I was thinking about active aero the other day after watching the repeat of top gear driving the Veyron. I'm thinking some of the big brains here should be able to come up with a DIY solution. A few servo's, sensors/switches for the brake pedal and steering and you are off and running. Hell, even the barn doors on NA's could be utilized for braking purposes.

I'm working with Greg at Aeromotions on an S2000 Active wing that will cost less than the one in the link. Legal for Redline Time Attack and our own S2000 Challenge, Miata Challenge an Corvette Challenge.

I have just accepted the fact that I will never be finished building the CAR, nor will I ever be out of debt.

I'm not in debt, but we always laugh when someone asks about a racing "budget"...ha, how much is in your wallet.....that's how much you'll spend! It is crack, enough said.

Yeah, I do some pretty creative accounting...being married is a whole other budget hurdle. I go by the "don't ask, don't tell" policy of family finances. And if they ask, tell them 1/2 what you actually spent! (Even then they'll likely pitch a fit)
