Interest in Big Bore Throttle Body for 1.8?
Hi Folks,
Got interest in a big bore throttle body for 1.8 application? Fitment 94-2005?
Don't know price and date yet....but let's assume comparable with nice billet units sold for other cars and say the roughly $269.
To express your interest please see this thread LINK

Quarstions:
1. What's the advantage over the stock throttle body?
2. At what power level does the stock throttle body become restrictive?
3. Would a big bore throttle body hold any advantage for a car under that power level?

I've seen the 70mm 4.7L Mustang throttle body coupled to the BEGI IM with great results, the problem is the clockspring is weak as crap due to the design of the mustang linkage.
That price point might scare people away, but if the stock idle valve and TPS bolts to it, then I think it's fairly desireable.

Bolt up with stock Miata manifold, TPS, and IAC?
YES, part of the motivation is to cure this issue.
