btw, what squeaking noise? i only got chatter from the light flywheel, but nothing from the clutch.
if you read the million or so threads about clutches here... (i was using the oh-so-lovely search feature... lol...)

in summary, all the clutches out there have good and bad, it seems that at some point someone somewhere got a defective clutch from every single brand... the cheaper brands the problems with qc seem more common...

but as someone noted, go with a name brand, and you get better qc, and better customer service, in case you do get some defective piece, a better chance at getting your money back or your parts replaced...

as for the cons with the act:

the only 2 problems with the act clutch and prolite combination is the chatter (from the fly wheel as mentioned... ) and then some people had an issue with some squeaking from their clutch...
and the last complaint/problem with these is the ultra low engagement point, you have to put your foot to the floor to change gears apparently... but since i'm 6ft tall, thats what i have to do anyways... lol...

all that being said....

these are the only clutches where people really don't complain about slip... (with the proper 500 mile break in of course...)

so yeah.... 3-4 hours of reading, and thats the conclusion i came too...
