Here's some more pics.. Disregard the HKS flange welded to this intercooler. It is a custom job for another customer.

So, they are technically (with the cast-in bead roll) 2-9/16"

I see the BOV flange welded to the endtank more and more, usually in the Honda camp though. What's the purpose of doing it that way as opposed to putting the flange on the piping?

probably just because it's easy to weld to, being flat

i can't see how the bov would work any more or less effectively.

It's for sound.The majority of the Honda guys are ricers,most of them only go turbo just for the sound of the BOV.

I would think in that position it would be quieter. Nice over generalization though.

How is it quieter? The BOV is basically outside the car when mounted in that position vs. being under the hood.

We put it there partly for simplicity. Stock one flange, and mount it on the same position on all kits. It's also hidden from view, lending to a cleaner engine bay.
